HIKING IN SOLSONÈS: MOUNTAIN RAGE OF BUSA AND HIS PRISON

Apparently inaccessible, isolated and impregnable due to its wild walls, Busa became a key place in the French war. Cut on all sides by high and wild walls, its plateau is isolated from the valleys that surround it such as Cardener and Vall dOra, where Guifré el Pilós found his death; this saw was a fortress for military instruction during the French war as it is proof that a house is still standing that receives the name of Can el Artillero. It was in this plan where, just after Cadiz, about 8,000 soldiers gathered to proclaim the constitution.
Also from these times of war against the French, is the famous prison of Busa, al Capolatell, which we will visit in this exit.

We also find the capolatell, a rock head isolated from the rest of the sierra, which was the prison where many French spent their last days, some of them, they say, threw themselves hopelessly down the ravine shouting "Mourir à Busa te resurgir à Paris".

Its history also takes us back to more recent times, to the Spanish Civil War, when many ambushes entered the woods to hide and avoid going to war, even now an area of the mountains is called the ambushes, where they hid the caves that exist.

This millstone offers few possibilities of access, because as we said it is a very isolated area, with everything but each and every one of the access roads to the area have their particularities and with more or less technical difficulty we will access the pla de Busa.

From the plan we can also ascend the Cògul, the highest point of the mountain range of Busa with 1526 meters of height and from where we will be able to contemplate fantastic views of the Pedraforca, the mountain range of Ensija and that of the Port del Compte, Sant Llorenç de Morunys and the reservoir of the Llosa del Caballo.
